A Silence of Heart.

In what realm of light
Or shadow's den
Do I see your heart so clearly?
In hellish fire?
Or sinful sighs?
Or in heaven's hand clasped dearly?


I see no baleful gleam, my dear,
On your soul so sweetly sleeping.
Yet from your eyes
I do surmise,
An evil thing is seeping.
